IMC Rolls Out New Part Numbering SystemDomestic Jobbers Now Have an Easy Way to Get Into the Import Parts Business

IMC announces their new standard numbering system of import parts. The system is designed for ease of application lookup, receiving, stocking and managing inventory. The eleven digit number references product line category, primary vehicle application and manufacturer's brand. The innovative part numbering system continues IMC's commitment to servicing the automotive aftermarket providing a complete import parts program focused on helping the jobber base increase their share of the growing import market.

The goals was to develop a numbering system that would allow Domestic Jobbers easy access to the import parts market without having to change the way they do business,” stated IMC’s Marc Melilo.  "The new system allows Jobbers to stock the parts they way they choose.  They can stock the part by brand, car make or part category to fit into the way they do business."
